Chery is set to officially unveil the all-electric iCaur V23 tomorrow in the Nepalese market.  The compact electric SUV brings together a retro-inspired boxy design and modern EV performance, positioning itself as a stylish yet practical choice for city and light off-road driving.

For the Nepalese market, the iCaur V23 will be available in a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) configuration, powered by a 100 kW (134 hp) electric motor producing 180 Nm of torque. Energy is supplied by a 59.93 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery from CATL, which delivers a CLTC-certified range of 401 km on a single charge. The SUV also supports 85 kW DC fast charging, allowing drivers to top up the battery quickly and conveniently for longer journeys.

The iCaur V23 embraces a retro-meets-modern look with its boxy silhouette, round LED headlights, and clamshell hood. Flared wheel arches, hidden door handles, and aluminium alloy side steps add to its rugged appeal. At the rear, a side-opening tailgate with an external storage box—dubbed a “backpack”—not only reinforces the SUV’s utility but also enhances its distinctive character.

Despite its compact dimensions, the iCaur V23 is built to handle more than just city streets. The SUV measures 4,220 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,845 mm in height, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase. Complementing its proportions are 19-inch wheels, 205 mm of ground clearance, and impressive approach and departure angles of 43° and 41° respectively, making it capable of tackling mild off-road adventures.

Inside, the iCaur V23 balances simplicity with modern convenience. The cabin features a 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and air conditioning. Higher trims add premium touches such as leather seats, electric-adjustable seating, and keyless entry. Boot space stands at 334 litres. On the safety front, the SUV comes equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), parking sensors, a rear-view camera, and many more.

The Chery iCaur V23 is expected to be priced between Rs 40–50 lakh in the Nepalese market. However, considering recent trends of aggressive EV pricing in Nepal, it is likely to be positioned in the Rs 43–47 lakh range. This pricing strategy would make it a strong contender in the compact electric SUV segment, appealing to buyers seeking both style and value.
